Welcome to Lokaly. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lokaly mobile app and the website at locally.world (together, the “Service”), operated by Lokaly (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lokaly. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and any ticket purchases must be made or approved by them.

To use most features you need an account, which you can create with an email and password or through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us at help@locally.world right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

The Service

Lokaly helps you discover nearby places (restaurants, hotels, attractions, nightlife) and events, browse reviews and ratings, save favorites, and buy event tickets.

Place details, maps, and related information are provided in part by third-party sources, including the Google Places API and Google Maps. This information can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate: opening hours change, venues close, addresses move. We do not verify third-party data and are not responsible for its accuracy. Always confirm important details (such as hours or availability) with the venue or organizer directly. Your use of Google Maps features is also subject to Google’s applicable terms of service.

User Content

Your content. You can post reviews (text and photos), ratings, and other content (“User Content”). You keep ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Lokaly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where it has already been shared with others or retained for legal reasons.

Content rules. User Content must be honest and based on your genuine experience. You may post one review per place. You must not post content that is false or misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, infringing on others’ rights (including copyright and privacy), spam, or promotional content disguised as a review. Do not post reviews of a business you own, work for, or compete with.

Moderation. Users can flag reviews, and our admins may hide or remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful. We may, but are not obligated to, review content before it appears. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension or termination.

Bookings, Payments & Refunds

You can purchase tickets to events listed on Lokaly. When you complete a booking, you enter into a transaction for that event, and you authorize the applicable charge to your chosen payment method. Prices, availability, and any fees are shown before you confirm your purchase.

Refunds are handled according to the event organizer’s refund policy, which is shown or referenced on the event listing. Refund requests are processed through the app. Lokaly facilitates ticket sales and refunds but does not organize, host, or control the events themselves. If an event is changed or cancelled, the organizer’s policy determines your remedy, and we will assist in processing any refund the organizer’s policy provides.

Business Listings & Claims

Business owners may claim their listing on Lokaly and, once verified, manage their business information and publish events. If you claim a listing, you represent that you are authorized to act for that business, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information and events you publish, including honoring the ticket terms and refund policy you set. We may remove or suspend claims, listings, or events that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.

Prohibited Conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

• Break any applicable law or regulation.
• Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Post fake reviews, manipulate ratings, or offer or accept anything of value in exchange for reviews.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, business owners, or our staff.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service, or access it by automated means without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, probe its security, or attempt to access accounts or systems you are not authorized to access.
• Resell tickets in violation of an organizer’s terms or applicable law.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

The Service (including its software, design, logos, and the Lokaly name) is owned by Lokaly or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Third-party content, including map and place data, belongs to its respective owners.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that place or event information is accurate or current, or that any place, event, or business listed on Lokaly will meet your expectations. Reviews reflect the opinions of their authors, not of Lokaly. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lokaly and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or personal injury arising from your visit to any place or event discovered through the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Lokaly in the twelve months before the claim arose or USD 100 (or the local equivalent). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct harms the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including User Content licenses already exercised, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Nigeria / your jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
